Hacker Group Threatens To Expose Secret 9/11 Files

Hacker group, known as The Dark Overlord have hacked several different insurers and law firms. The insurers targeted include Hiscox and Lloyd’s of London, and the Law firm, Husch Blackwell. On new year’s eve the hackers announced on twitter, “We’ll be providing many answers about 9.11 conspiracies through our 18,000 secret documents leak,” The twitter account has since been closed down which has given fuel to the fire. This indicates that the leaked material truly has something worth hiding. Hiscox Group have confirmed that the hackers attacked a law firm that advised the company, gaining access to documents from the time of 9/11.

On Wednesday, some documents started circulating around the web, when decryption keys were released. They showed communications relating to the world trade centre. Emails and letters that mention law firms and the TSA (Transport Security Administration) have been released. The group threaten to release more documents until the ransom is paid. The Dark Overlord have said they would continue to release the files unless the victims paid the ransom fee in Bitcoin. They have even offered to sell the documents to known terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda and ISIS if the victims do not pay up.

What could be in the files?

So far the leaked documents haven’t yet shown anything outstanding, and has even disproved some of the claims made by some conspiracy theorists. It seems to disregard the profit motive behind the World Trade Centre attack. The bulk released mainly shows some memos from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and insurance claims. There are documents of the U.S District Court arguing about liabilities with the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

As for the remaining files – who knows, but we certainly could find out in the next few days.
